Tarner, interim director of acad- emic affairs, has announced the appointment of Atty. Michelle L. Olshefski, to program head of the =Administra- tion of Justice (AOJ) program at Penn State Wilkes-Barre. Atty. Olshefski is a 1992 graduate of distinction from Eastern College in St. David's, PA with a degree in Business Management. She earned her Juris Doctor Degree from Temple University School of Law where she was a Barrister Award winner and a member of the, Dean's Honor List. While at Temple, Atty. Olshefski was also cited for Outstanding Oral Advo- cacy and Distinguished Class Per- formance. The campus initiated the bach- Atty. Michelle L. Olshefski elor of science in AOJ last fall through a cooperative agreement with Penn State Fayette. The pro- gram focuses on the interrelated components of the criminal jus- tice system employing a unique combination of formal classroom instruction, individual study, and field experience, including an ex- tensive internship experience. Atty. Olshefski brings extensive courtroom experience to her new position, including felony and misdemeanor jury and bench trail. In addition to numerous pre-trial evidentiary, parole and probation violation hearings, her experience includes all aspects of criminal prosecution from ar- raignment through disposition and trial. As campus program head, Ol- shefski will manage AOJ program development; student recruitment & advising; organize & supervise internships; & coordinate dis- tance learning courses. Paczewski receives Doctorate Degree ~ Eric M. Paczewski, of Dallas recently received his post-professional clinical doctorate degree from the University of St. Augustine spe- gializing in man- ual physical therapy. The emphasis of his doc- toral studies was on the conserv- ative management of spinal disor- ders. Dr. Paczewski earned his BS degree from Indiana Universi- Eric M. Paczewski ty of Pennsylvania, where he graduated magna cum laude, and his Master of Physical Therapy degree from Gannon University. He graduated first in his entry- level physical therapy class and received the “master's Academic Award” his graduating year. He has been employed by Health- South Sports Medicine and Reha- bilitation center, for over two years and is the site coordinator of its Wilkes-Barre facility located inside the Odyssey Fitness Cen- ter. Host elected to board of the Greater Wilkes-Barre Chamber and the Committee For Economic Growth - William R. Host, M.D. Pres- ident and Chief Executive Offi- ger of the Wyoming Valley Health Care System, was re- cently elected to the Board of William R. Host M.D. Directors of the Greater Wilkes-Barre Chamber of Business and Industry and its Committee for Economic Growth. According to Steven M. Barrouk, President/CEO of the Chamber, ‘Pr. Host is an outstanding leader, and we look forward to working with him to meet and ex- ceed the Chamber's goals and build this region’s future.” Dr. Host previously served as the CEO and Senior Vice Presi- dent for Medical Affairs at the Jersey City Medical Center, as well as a Vice President and Clin- ical Director of the Department of Surgery; Senior Vice President, Medical Affairs at the Woodhull Medical and Mental Health Center in Brooklyn, New York and CEO of the Tyler Memorial Hospital. Dr. Host earned his medical degree in 1964 from the Universi- ty of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey. He received Master's Degree’ in Business Administra- tion from Colombia University, and a joint Master's Degree in Public Health and Policy and Management from Colombia Uni- versity’'s School of Public Health. He is a member of the Board of Trustees of Keystone Community College, and has also served “as President of the Board of Direc- tors of the Emergency Medical Services of Northeastern PA and as a past President of the Penn- sylvania’s Division of the Ameri- can Trauma Society. He is a Diplomat on the American Board of Surgery as well the American Board of Medical Management.
