Pie Bi Nagy attends National youth Forum Meredith Nagy, a junior at Dallas High School, attended the Na- tional Youth Forum on Law in Washington, D.C., where she joined 350 high school juniors and seniors from across the country to learn what a career in law is all about. The students visited vari- ous District court houses, prestigious law firms and law schools. The first-graders of the Dallas Elementary School participated in their third Reading Is Fundamental (R.1.F.) book distribution. The students were treated to a guest-reading by their principal, Mr. Sam Barbose, who read ‘The Principal's New Clothes’. After lis- tening to the story, each child chose a paperback book to keep. R.I.F. is a nationwide program which seeks to promote literacy by allowing children to own books. Participants also are involved in reading-related activities at the book distributions or they take home activities which can be enjoyed with their family.
