The Dallas Post Dallas, PA Wednesday, December 27, 2000 Sue Lazur is GFWC quilt raffle winner The General Federation of Women's Club (GFWC), Harveys Lake chapter, recently held its annual fundraising raffle. Club member Sue Lazur won first prize, a hand-made quilt done by the club's honorary members. Proceeds of the raffle were used to support the GFWC's projects, including the distribution of 200 holiday cheer baskets to the elderly of the area. International Adoption Information Night Lutheran Children and Family Service of Eastern Pennsylvania is hosting an International Adoption Information Night on Wednesday, Jan. 10, from 7 to 9 p.m. at the Woodlands Inn and Resort, 1073 Highway 315, in Wilkes-Barre. DAMA collection reminder The Dallas Area Municipal Authority (DAMA) wishes to remind its customers that there will be no collection of trash or recyclables on New Year's Day, Monday, Jan. 1. Monday collection will instead be on Tuesday. Also note there will be no bag limit on trash from Tuesday, Dec. 26 through Saturday, Dec.30. The normal two-bag limit will resume on Tuesday, Jan. 2. John Hutchins turns 5 John Steven Hutchins, Jr., son of John Sr. and Misty Hutchins of Dallas, is celebrating his 5th birth- day on Thursday, Dec. 28.
