An employee of the Times Leader for 11 years; he lives in Laflin with his wife, Donna, and their two sons. Imel joined The Abington Jour- nal staff in 1997 as office man- ager, becoming a reporter the fol- lowing year. In November 1998, she was named editor of the Jour- ‘nal. “It has been a pleasure get- ting to know the people in the Abington community, and I look for- ward to becom- ing part of the Back ‘Mountain community as well. Charles H. a Grube, is for the benefit of people who are grieving over the loss of a “ loved one, are feeling lonely, or re dealing with other anxieties during this holiday season. DeRojas honored at Susquehanna dinner Alma DeRojas of Dallas was one of more than 180 students honored at the annual Susquehanna University Scholars Dinner in October. The dinner was held to recongnize and congratulate Susquehanna's most successful student scholars. In order to be named a University Scholar, students must have earned a cumulative grade point average of 3.6 in full-time study for the past two semesters or equivalent credit hours of part-time study. DeRojas, a junior who is double-majoring in English and Spanish, is a 1998 graduate of Bishop O'Reilly High School. She is the daughter of Juan and Alma DeRojas of Dallas. Kingston Twp. Winter Parking Ordinance Kingston Twp. Police Chief James Balavage would like to remind residents the Twp. Winter Parking Ordinance is currently in effect until March 31, 2001. Under this ordinance residents are prohibited from parking vehicles on Township streets - between the hours of 10 p.m. and 6 a.m. daily. The ordinance is designed to keep the Twp. streets open and clear so that snow removal measures can be effectively undertaken by the Public Works Dept. : The Chief also reminds residents that vehicles are not permit- ted to be parked on Twp. streets during snow storms, or for.8 hours after the end of a stgrm. The Chief urges all Twp. resi- dents to cooperate in complying with the Ordinance to avoid enforcement measures.
