Born in Somerville, Mass., she was a daughter of the late Edmund ‘and Katherine (Kane) Fleming. She was a 1930 graduate of Boston University. She was a communi- cant of Our Lady Of Mercy Church, Plainville, and St. Therese's - Church, Shavertown. She taught at Plainville High School from the 1930's through World War II and substituted at Wheeler Elemen- tary, School, Plainville. She vol- unteered for the American Red Cross. ; She was preceded in death by her husband, Loyal; brothers, Edmund and Joseph Fleming; and sisters, Catherine Lowney and Rita O'Rourke. Surviving are her son, Russell E., Shavertown; daughter, Dor- othy S. Wrona, Wallingford, Conn.; six grandchildren, eight great- grandchildren; sister, Claire Dolan, Florida; and several nieces and nephews. Burial was in St. Joséph Cem- etery, Plainville.
