Other members of the winning team contributing with offense were Jonathon Baker, Justin Singer, Matt Empfield, and Dan ~ Savage, all with 2 points apiege. Unfortunately the Pirates were not able to overcome a 3 goal in 40 second run by the Jackals an lost 5-4. On Sunday, Dec 3 the Pirates rallied from a two goal deficit on goals by Matt Luksic from Billy Nugeni, and Kevin Zirnheld from Luksic to tie the Glaciers 2-2 at Warminister. Drew Slocum made 30 saves, including 12 in the third period in the Pirate net to preserve the tie. 4th quarter free throws carry Hospice to win Hospice overcame a five point 4th quarter deficit to defeat Hession Insurance 30-28. Kelly Corbett and Caitie Hession had a basket each. Carla Reino and Rebecca Slavoski played strong defense. Burger King 41, Robin Hill Florist 16 Defense was the key for Burger King in their game against Robin Hill Florist. Katy Whalen led the way for Burger King with 21 points, including 2 treys. Kristen Evans and Sara Swepston were strong forces underneath rebounding, as well as in the scoring column as Kristen hit for 14 points, and Sara for 8. Jessica English supported her team with 6 points, while Michelle Luksh, with her preci- sion passing, complemented her team with numerous assists, in- cluding a pinpoint pass to an open Jackie Opel for Jackie's lone 2 points. / Caitlyn McGuire was high scorer for Robin Hill Florist with six points while Kim Durr added 4. Robin Razawich and Samantha O'Brien each scored a basket. Elysia Balavage also scored two points and had a tremendous de- fensive game with numerous re- bounds. Tiffany Gergel also played outstanding defense. Dombroski Construction beats Eye Care Specialists Michael Dombroski Construc- tion was the winner over Eye Care Specialists. Perkoski named a 2nd team All-American Former Dallas high School star Frank Perkoski has been selected a second-team All-American by the National Junior College Athletic Association after concluding a successful career at Lackawanna Junior College. Perkoski, a 6-2, 274-pound offensive guard, was one of the reasons Lackawanna finished third in the nation in rushing offense (294.6 average) and fourth in total offense (437.2). He also helped pave the way for teammate Alan Jones, the country’s leading scorer and rusher in junior college football, to earn a lirst-team All-American berth. Perkoski was a defensive lineman at Lackawanna last season and comported himsell well.
