Membership in the 50-voice chorus is open not only to stu- dents and employees of the Col- lege, but also to members of the community. Singers with a wide range of abilities from across the Wyoming Valley join with Miseri- cordia students and faculty for enjoyable rehearsals and high- quality concerts. Repertoire for the fall will in- clude the Magnificat by J.S. Bach and A Christmas Garland by Conrad Susa. Bach's Magnificat is his masterpiece for the season of advent, and will be performed in Latin with professional orches- tra and soloists. Susa's Christ- mas Garland is an uplifting med- ley of familiar carols for chorus and orchestra. No audition is necessary for membership in the College Mise- ricordia Choral Society. Halves are S3. Finger Lakes bus trip deadline is September 5 A local women's group will sponsor a bus trip to the Finger Lakes Region Lake Seneca, NY, on October 14. The trip is open to the public and is on a first come first serve basis. The trip will include a stop at the Glenora Wine Cellars for a tour and tasting at the winery. Lunch at the winery restaurant will be included. The next stop will be at the Women's History Museum at Seneca Falls. The final stop will be at Wagner's Winery and Micro Brewery for a tour and tasting. The cost of the trip is $40 each, this includes lunch, tours, and museum entrance fees. Girl Scout Troop 655 car wash Senior Girl Scout Troop #665 of Dallas is holding a car wash fundraiser on Saturday September 9 from 10 a.m. until 3:00 p.m. It will be held at the New Mart, located just south of Rave's on the Memorial Highway in Trucksville. The cost is $3 per vehicle. Annual JCC golf tournament September 11 The 41st Annual JCC Golf Tournament will be held Monday, September 11, at Fox Hill Country Club. Lehman-Jackson High The Lehman-Jackson High School Class of 1950 held it's 50th class reunion at the Irem Temple Country Club, Dallas, on July 29. Of the 49 class members who graduated on June 2, 1950, 23 attended the reunion. Each classmate received a 1950 silver half dollar and a booklet commemorating the 50th reunion. Threshold is a decision-making program that is taught to inmates at the correctional facility in Dallas who are about to be released. The Treshold course is taught by volunteers, on a one-on-one basis over a period of nine weeks. The only prerequisite to becoming a volunteer is to be a caring person who wants to reach out to someone to make a new beginning.
