The Dallas Post Dallas, PA Wednesday, July 26, 2000 7 ~ Open house for Webmaster program at Penn State W-B N Penn State Wilkes-Barre will feature the University’s non-credit Webmaster Certificate Program during an open house scheduled at the campus Wednesday, Au- gust 2 from 5:30 7 p.m. Twelve courses are being offered in se- quence based on prerequisites and it is suggested that participants enroll in and complete the entire certificate program. However, individuals may elect to take spe- cific courses on a space available basis. Tuition reimbursement by employers is an option for stu- dents enrolled in the Webmaster program, and an individual pay- ment schedule is available. The World Organization of “o Webmasters and the Association o HL Little League receives grant of Internet Professionals (AIP) ap- prove the Penn State Webmaster Certificate, which is offered through the University’s College of Engineering and School of In- formation Sciences & Technology. It is one of only a few webmaster programs approved by the AIP. Some of the courses are HTML levels 1 and 2, Visual and Graphic Design, Legal and Ethical Issues, Emerging Technology, Multime- dia on the Web, Security Issues, Javascript, levels 1 & 2, and Net- work Server Administration. All students attending the school participated in the contest. Each participant was required to take a test which measured their understanding of grammar, punctuation, vocabulary, and spelling.
