Palinchak struck out 5 batters and whacked 3 hits, including a double. Bohinsky, Mingo and Crawford also doubled for Heights. Mike Clemente led the National offense with 2 doubles. Chad Gelso smashed a triple for Na- tional while Ronnie Ritts, Andrew Hanadel and Kevin Konicki each ripped doubles. Clemente struck out 2 in 3 innings on the mound. ST. THERESE'S LOWER VALLEY TOURNAMENT Mountaintop 11, Back Mountain National (Lower Valley) 8 Mountaintop thwarted a late rally by National to hold on for an 11-8 victory. Kevin Moulton and Orloski each collected 2 hits for Mountaintop. Moulton struck out 7 in hurling the complete game victory. The National attack was sparked by 2 hits each from Grant Roberts, Mike Clemente and Ronnie Ritts, including a Roberts triple and a Clemente double. Stephen Yankowski struck out 3 in 4 innings on the mound. Back Mountain National (Kubis) 15, Swoyersville 5 The Back Mountain National Kubis team struck for 5 runs in the firstinning and 10 more in the second inning ‘to defeat Swoyersville 15-5 in a 4-inning . game. Greg Harris led the Na- tional attack with 2 doubles, 3 RBIs and 2 runs scored. Jeff Clemente tripled and scored 3 runs for National while Dylan , Seeley doubled and scored twice. Deadline extended for pavers The Dallas Gridiron Club has extended the deadline for orders for the memorial brick pavers to be installed in the entrance to the new Dallas H.S. Football Stadium to Monday, July 31. This deadline will guarantee your paver will be installed before the first game. Orders received after July 31 will be installed in mid October.
