Expressway Nursing Program at Miseri A new accelerated college pro- gram for nurses will be available this fall, allowing nurses with associate's degrees to complete their bachelor's degree in less time than before. The program, called the Ex- pressway Nursing Program, will include courses taught by Miseri- cordia faculty and held on Lu- zerne County Community College's Nanticoke campus and selected hospital sites. Three- credit mini-semesters will run ei- ther five weeks or seven weeks in length and will cost $242 per credit, the lowest cost for bacca- laureate credits in the area. Classes will begin August 22. The Expressway Nursing Pro- gram is designed for currently licensed registered nurses who hold associates degrees in nurs- ing and have professional prac- tice experience. Students will be able to take one course per session and could complete their bachelor of science degree in nursing in two to two and one-half years. Classes will meet once a week at LCCC for fours hours a class weekday evenings. Students will be expected to spend an addi- tional 15-20 hours per week in study outside the classroom.
