Kanjorski (PA-11) today announced that Jackson Township was among 23 communities in the 11th Con- gressional District taht will re- ceive $102,059 in federal funding to help purchase bulletproof vests for their law enforcement officers. Jackson Township will receive 83,962 to purchase 10 vests. “I co-sponsored the law that created this programin 1998, and I am now a co-sponsor of legisla- tion: to carry out President Clinton's request to extend and double the authorized funding for this program from $75 million to $150 million over the next three years," Kanjorski said.
