He was born in Tupper Lake, NY, son of the late Stuart and Marion Lyons Oakley. Mr. Oakley was a Navy veteran. He resided in Lehman and Sweet Valley before moving to Kingston nine years ago. He attended Westmoor Church of Christ, Kingston. He was a member of the Dallas Kiwanis; past commander, American Le- gion Daddow Isaacs Post 672, Dallas. His first wife, the former Sharon Baur, died in 1987. Surviving are his wife, the former Betty Iverson Phillips; daughters, Frances Lewis, Leh- man; Elizabeth Bidwell, Kingston; Christine Oakley, Kingston Town- ship; sons, Stuart R., Jr., Wyo- ming; Scott, Lehman; six grand- children. Daubert, 83, of Shav- ertown, died Wednesday, June 28, 2000, in Geisinger Wyoming Valley Medical Center, Plains Township. He was born Nov. 29, 1916 in Kingston, son of the late Warren E. and Edith Sorber Daubert. Mr. Daubert was an Army vet- eran of World War II. Mr. Daubert was a member of Shavertown United Methodist Church and its Friendship Club. Brothers, Carl and Berton; sis- ters, Betty Murdock and Beverly Adams, preceded him in death. Surviving are his wife of 55 years, the former Olive Berlew; daughter, Barbara Daubert, Shav- ertown; sons, Robert and Will- iam, both of Wilkes-Barre Town- ship; four grandchildren; one great-grandson; brothers, Donald, Beaumont; Dean, Florida; Dal, Maryland; nieces and nephews. Born Aug. 14, 1933, in Wilkes- Barre, he was a son of the late Francis and Anna (Marcincavage) Pechal. He was a U.S. Marines veteran of the Korean War, and member of St. Theresa's Church, Shavertown; and American Le- gion, Dallas. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Rochelle Staffieri; and sisters, Evelyn Pechal, Louise Loftus and MaryAnn Frushon. Surviving are his wife of 43 years, the former Marianne "Mae" Arnone; son, Kevin, Wilkes-Barre; one granddaughter; brothers, Emil, Swoyersville; and John, Plains Township; sister, Agnes Makara, Brick, NJ; and several nieces and nephews. Reimiller, 83, of Ed- wardsville, died Friday, June 30, 2000, at the Geisinger Wyoming Valley Medical Center, Wilkes- Barre. Born May 31, 1917, in Ply- mouth, he was a son of the late Arthur and Bertha (Roberts) Reimiller. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II and re- cipient of the Purple Heart. Surviving are his wife of 60 years, the former Mary "Mae" Kosek; son, George, Jr., Larksville; daughter, Maureen, Edwardsville; two grandchildren; brothers, Arthur, Forty Fort; and Paul, Tunkhannock; and sister, Lillian Davis, Shavertown. ROSEANN GALLAGHER Roseann Gallagher, of Inkerman, Jenkins Township, died Thursday, June 29, 2000 at Wilkes-Barre General Hospital. Born in Pittston, she was a daughter of the late Anthony and Anne (Wasilouskas) Gallagher. She was a member of St. Mark's Church, Inkerman. Surviving is her sister, Patricia A. Boyle, Valrico, Fla. Interment will be in Mount Olivet Cemetery, Carverton, King- ston Township. Adams to Discuss Confucius A talk, entitled “Confucius Say,” will be given at the Unitarian Universalist Congregation of Wyoming Valley on July 9 at the 10 a.m. service. The speaker will be Joe Adams, UUCWV member and Shavertown resident. Adams will present the background of Confucius and his wisdom. He has a Ph.D. in comparative religions from the American College of Metaphysical Theology, a correspondence course program. The UUCWV meets at the Wyoming Valley Montessori School, 851 W. Foltzer and Dr. Michael Foltzer, following an illness. She was born May 20, 1928, in Wilkes-Barre, and was the daugh- ter of the late A. Harden and Marjorie P. Lindsay Coon. Lindsay was a lifelong resident of the Wyoming Valley. She gave many years of community service to the Penn's Woods Girl Scout Council, the Junior League of Wilkes-Barre, Planned Parent- hood of Northeastern Pennsylva- nia, the Wyoming Historical and Geological Society, and the Forty Fort Meeting House Preservation Society. She was a member of the Shav- ertown United Methodist Church. She is survived by four daugh- ters, Marcy S. Robinson- Whitten, Barrington, NH; Amy H. Robinson- Cornell, Hommondsport, NY; Jane R. Brey, North Wales, PA; Marjorie P. Foltzer, Cooperstown, NY; and eight grandchildren. Interment will be at the Forty Fort Cemetery.
