[ T 14 The Dallas Post Dallas, PA Wednesday, December 15, 1999 OBITUARIES JANE BOURKE Jane Galbraith Bourke, 81, of Trucksville and Cocoa Beach, FL died Dec. 8, 1999, at Cape Canaveral Hospital, Cocoa Beach. She was born March 27, 1918, in Syracuse, NY and was the daughter of the late Alexander and Kathryn Galbraith. She attended Ursuline Acad- emy in New Rochelle, NY and was a graduate of New Rochelle High School and Catherine Gibbs School in New York. She was employed by the New Rochelle Li- brary, the Union Pacific Railroad and the engineer- ing firm of Hegeman, Harris. She was a member of St. Therese’s Church, Shavertown. Prior to the onset of a lengthy illness, she devoted much of her time to volunteer work. She was a charter member of The Junior League in New Rochelle, contrib- uted many years of volunteer ser- vice at Gate of Heaven School in Dallas and served on many na- tional restaurant equipment in- dustry association committees. She was also a long-time mem- ber of the Harveys Lake Yacht Club and the Herrington Harbour Sailing Association. Mrs. Bourke is survived by her husband of 55 years, John J. Bourke; son John Bourke, Cocoa Beach, FL; daughter, Jayne Bourke-Steeg of Celebration, FL; sister Kathryn Lewis of Hartsdale, NY; brother Robert Galbraith of Easton, MD and Houston, TX, and eight grandchildren and step- grandchildren; nieces and neph- ews. She was preceded in death by her brother, Alex. Funeral services were held in Cocoa Beach, FL. FRANCIS SENAUSKY Francis “Manny” Senausky of Staub Road in the Trucksville sec- tion of Kingston Township died Dec. 6, 1999 at Wilkes-Barre Gen- eral Hospital. Born in Taylor and raised in Pittton, he resided in Trucksville since 1981. He was a son of Catherine *Kitty”: Dennis Senausky Liskoskey and the late Frank Senausky. He was a 1971 graduate of Pittston Area High School. He was self-employed as a ma- sonry contractor since 1977. He operated F.M. Senausky Masonry of Trucksville. He was a- member of St. Therese’s Church in Trucksville, the Knights of Columbus and Gridd Iron. Surviving are his wife of 23 years, the former Sharon Pascucci; son, Michael, at home; daughter, Sheree Senausky at home; sister, Kathy Ferretti, Jenkins Township; brother, Mark, Pittston; several nieces and nephews. Wolfe, 85, of Harveys Lake, formerly of Wyomissing Hills, died Dec. 7, 1999, at Wilkes- Barre General Hospital. Born April 4, 1914, in Lebanon County, he was the son of the late William and Sadie Wolfe. He retired from Narrow Fabric Industries, Inc. in West Reading. He was preceded in death by his wife, June A. Wolfe. : Surviving are his son, Larry of Kingston; six grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and three great-great grandchildren. Born in Plymouth, he was the son of the late Joseph and Mary Donnelly. He was a member of Holy Name/St. . Mary's. Church, Swoyersville. Prior to retiring, he owned and operated Donnelly’s Market in the Mayflower section of Wilkes-Barre. He was preceded in death by children, Charlotte and Frank Jr Surviving are his wife, the former Katherine Burneski; daughter, Celestine Mullen and son, Alfred, both of Kingston * Township; grandchildren, Loretta Kijek and Jeffrey Mullen; and a great- granddaughter, Alexandra Kijek. Interment, Mount Olivet Cem- etery, Carverton, Kingston Town- ship. MARVIN ELSTON Marvin J. “Jiggs” Elston, 78, of Dallas, died Dec. 10, 1999, at the Valley Crest Nursing Home. Born Sept. 14, 1921, in Kunkle, he was the son of the late Ralph and Agnes Issacs Elston. He was a graduate of Dallas High School. Before 1969, he was the owner and operator of Elston’s Farm Dairy in Fernbrook and later in Forty Fort. He was later employed by the Wilkes-Barre Re-Develop- ment as a rehabilitation special- ist. He was a veteran of World War II, having served with the U.S. Marines. He was a member of the Kunkle United Methodist Church, the Kunkle Volunteer Fire Co. and the American Legion in Dallas. He was preceded in death by his son, Edward; sister, Dorothy Dodson; and brother, Ike Elston. Surviving are his wife of 47 years, the former Nancy Moore; sons, Thomas, Wilkes-Barre Township; and Timothy, Kunkle; daughters, Cathy Kozicki, Plains Township; Suzanne Kubiak, York; Molly Shorts, Harveys Lake; Peggy Yankovich, Charlotte, NC; sister, Lana Birnstock, Dallas; brothers, Wayne and Gene “Chick”, both of Kunkle; 13 grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. ROBERT FRANC Robert J. Franc, 69, "of the Meadows Apartments in Dallas, died Dec. 9, 1999, at his home. Born in Easton, he was the son of the late Guerino and Agnes (Siketti) Franc. He was a graduate of Easton High School and had been a resi- dent of Dallas for the past 18 years, Before retiring, he was em- ployed as truck driver by Eastern Freightways, and also was self- employed as a truck driver. He was a member of Gate of Heaven Church in Dallas, and the Daddow Isaacs American Legion Post 672 in Dallas. He was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War. McDonald, 84, of Chestnut Street in Shavertown died Dec. 10, 1999, at ManorCare in Kingston. Born in Duryea, he was the son of the late Henry and Helen Gaffney McDonald. He attended Meyers and the Kingston schools and had resided in Shavertown for the past 55 years. Before retiring, he was em- ployed as a sheet metal worker and welder at W.E. Pulverman Co. in Courtdale for 40 years. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II having served in the Euro- pean Theater. He was preceded in death by his brother, Harry. Surviving are his wife of six years, the former Olive Anthony; daughters, Maureen Fisher, Phila- delphia; Diane Long, Trucksville; and granddaughters, Christine Long and Jennifer Sult.
