Born in Kelayres, she was a daughter of the late Daniel and Alice Sartori Houston. She was a graduate of West Hazleton High School and the Penn State University Hazleton Campus. She had been a resident of Dallas for the past four years. Before retiring, she owned and operated Snyder Insurance Agency in Wilkes-Barre. She was a member of Gate of Heaven Church, Dallas, and Irem BETH DELANEY Beth (Griffiths) Delaney, 73, of Norton Avenue, Dallas, died Dec. 6, 1999, at the Hospice of the Visiting Nurses Association, Heri- tage House, Wilkes-Barre. Born in Clarks Summit, she was the daughter of the late Arthur 0. and Edna M. (Ashton) Griffiths. She was a graduate of Plymouth High School and Wyoming Semi- nary School of Business. She resided in Dallas for the * past 45 years and was a member of the Dallas United Methodist Church. Surviving are her drugnters Megan G. Delaney, Dallas; and Jennifer Bulford, Atlanta; brother, James Griffiths, Montrose; and three grandchildren. A memorial service will be held at a time to be announced. Moore, 70, of Ran- | som Road in Dallas, died Nov. 29, 199, at Wilkes-Barre General Hos- pital. Born in Wilkes-Barre, he was a son of the late Nelson and Irene (Shutt) Moore. He attended Dal- las Township schools and had been a lifelong Dallas resident. Before retiring, he was partner at Ridall and Moore Business Machine Repair Service. He later served as a custodian for the Dal- las School District. He was a member of East Dal- where he was a trustee, a choir member and Sunday school bk teacher. * He was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War and served as a chaplain’s assistant while sta- tioned in Japan. He was preceded in death by his brother, George. Surviving are his wife of 44 years, the former Hilda Ehrgott; sons, Keith R., Chenango Forks, NY; Paul M. Lehman Township; daughters, Patricia Whipple, Tunkhannock; and Hollie Karichner, Shavertown; nine grandchildren; brother, David, Dallas; and sisters, Miriam Dymond, Dallas and Priscilla Krum, Lake Wallenpaupack. Gordon Dawe, 77, of Meeker Road in Lehman Township, died Nov. 29, 1999, at his home. Born June 27, 1922, he was a son of the late Walter and Ethel Mae Dawe. He graduated from St. James Academy in Carbonear, Bishop Field College in St. John's in New- foundland, and the University of Toronto with a bachelor’s degree in economics. He also graduated from Penn State University as a paralegal. He served in the Royal Cana- dian Air Force during World War II as a radio air gunner with rank of pilot officer. He was employed by the Cities Service Oil Co. in Tulsa, OK, as a wholesale salesman and assis- tant division manager. He was a member of the Ameri- can Petroleum Insitute and the Lehman United Methodist Church, where he taught Sunday School. He was preceded in death by brothers, John, Harvey and Wallace; and sisters, Olive Dawe, and Ruth Dawe. Surviving are his wife of 51 years, the former Judith Simms; sons, William G. and Christopher S., both of Lehman Township; brothers, Wilfred G., St. John’s, Newfoundland; Cyril A. Edinburgh, Scotland; sister, Joyce McGrath, St. John's, Newfound- land; nieces and nephews. Interment, Lehman Center Cemetery, Lehman Township.
