Erin Liss rides at Devon Imagine riding a young horse that has been to local Dressage shows for only two years. Then think of being at Devon, one of the country’s premier events and being surrounded by many wonderful, massive horses and excellent riders. Erin Liss has just had that experience at Devon for Dressage, Sept. 29. Erinis now 16 has been taking lessons at Borrowdale Acres in Dallas since she has been seven years old. She has experienced different disciplines of riding, but has been interested in Dressage for the past two years. With many lessons and practice, she and her young horse, “Queensryche,” better known in the barn as “Peter,” felt confident enough to try their luck among the best at the Devon Dressage Horse Show. Credit is given to her trainer, Peggy Bell, who has worked with Erin weekly to train and prepare her for this wonderful experience. Erin was pinned 8th and received a ribbon for her horse’s abilities and suitability to become a Dressage mount. Erin is thankful that she received “Peter” as a birthday present three years ago when he was three years old. He was bred and born at Borrowdale Acres. | oO a
