FOOTBALL Dallas 20, G.A.R. 17 (OT) Matt Jackson's 10-yard touch- down run on the first play for Dallas in overtime ended the game as Dallas defeated G.A.R. Satur- day night on the road and kept the lead in the Division 2 standings with a 3-0 divisional record and 4- O overall record. Jackson fin- ished with 147 yards on the ground on 24 carries. The Moun- taineers got on the scoreboard firstin the first quarter when quar- terback Chuck Suppon scored on a one-yard keeper. After trailing 14-7 at halftime, Dallas tied it on a 53-yard touchdown pass from Suppon to receiver Jason Race. G.A.R. had the ball first in over- time and managed a field goal. Nanticoke scored two more touchdowns though and was vic- torious by a sinlge point. The final margin came when Nanticoke successfully converted a two-point attempt with 34 seconds remain- ing in the game. Jeremy Packard of Wyoming Seminary announced Ashley Feldman of Shavertown and Jaclyn Walkowiak of Dallas have been named Commended Students in the year 2000 Na- tional Merit Scholarship Program. Meeks was the school's first director of development, holding the post from 1968 to 1981. Dur- ing his tenure, nearly $7.5 million was raised in support of Wyoming Seminary programs. Meeks has served as a special assistant in the development office and as the school’s archivist since 1982. He has been an officer and member of the Varsity Club since its incep- tion in 1974, serving as president for the past 15 years. Ann Gunster Finan, originally from Dallas and now living in Herndon, Virginia, will also be inducted into the Hall. A 1984 Sem graduate, Finan was a standout performer in field hockey and swimming. She received All- MAC recognition as goalie at Drew University, and was an honorable mention All-American. She re- ceived a master’s degree from George Mason Univ. and is a wacher at Fairfax High School, where she is the swimming coach.
