To earn the title of Drum Major, Ms. Davies had to conduct the band before four judges. She also had to call commands and take a written test consisting of music theory. Ms. Davies will also be judged separately at band compe- titions by a judge that is there solely for the purpose of watching her .abililty to conduct the en- semble, how well the band follows her commands, her musicality, her poise and appearance. Ms. Davies is a junior at Lake- Lehman and has been a member of the band for four years.
