Sports management graduates will re- ceive bachelor of science degrees and will be prepared to work for health clubs, resorts, sports teams, camps, arenas, YMCAs and YWCAs, commercial recre- ational facilities. The curriculum will in- cludeliberalarts courses, business courses and sports-related courses such as sports management and leadership, marketing and promotions, facilities planning and event management. Misericordia’s sports management pro- gram, the only four-year program of its kind offered in northeastern Pennsylva- nia, will be available as a major and a minor.
