Richards, will be per- forming their 1998 field show “Knights,” at the Lackawanna County Stadium, Nov. 14. The theme of the show revis- its time in history when a few brave men strove to defend the helpless, uphold the righteous and courageously fight for the truth. The production is set to the music of Robert S. Smith and Edward A. Richards. The Lake-Lehman Band boasts 23 consecutive years as Tournament of Bands Chapter 7 champions and has won the Tournament of Bands Atlantic Coast Champions nine times, The Award Winning Lake-Lehman Marching Band are proud to honor their 1998- 99 Seniors. The seniors were recognized at the Lake-Lehman Tournament of Bands in September at the Lake- Lehman High School. The seniors were presented with band jackets purchased by the Band Parent Sponsors and presented by Edward A. Richards, Director and Mrs. Maureen Richards, Assistant Director. The presentation on the senior jackets is an annual tradition and something to remind each senior of all their efforts and hard work. Each senior was escorted by their parent . The following seniors were: from left, kneeling Michelle Lawler (Section Leader-alto sax), Maria Dobinick, (Captain-Color Guard and Vice President), Stephanie Pineno (section L eader-Pit and | Treasurer), Daisy Boice (Color Guard), Nicki Julian (Frumper, Indoor Guard and Secretary) states and 416 bands. The Tournament of Bands is one of _ organizations in the country. Every week bands involved complete in local competitions for awards and high scores. Only the top bands are invited to this final competition. Assisting Mr. Richards this season were: Assistant band director and color guard in- structor, Mrs. Maureen Richards, Color Guard design and instructor; John Taggart, Pit Percussion instructor and arrangement; Dave Gambal, Pit the largest competitive band education. The following is the menu for the week of November 16. All meals include margarine, milk and coffee. MONDAY - Veal scallopini, zuc- chini, orange juice, whole wheat bread, chilled pears, rice. TUESDAY - Tuna noodle cas- serole, hot fruit compote; mixed vegetables, white bread, choco- late pudding. WEDNESDAY - Beef stroganoff, peach compote, spinach, Italian bread, sugar cookie, noodles. THURSDAY - Thanksgiving Special. Roast turkey wi/stuffing, gravy, peas w/mushrooms, to- mato juice; orange cranberry muffin, pumpkin pie.
