¢ ¢ The Dallas Post Dallas, PA Wednesday, October 7, 1998 7 Funds available for those seeking drug/alcohol treatment The Caron Foundation, a Na- tionally recognized drug and alco- hol treatment center is joining the effort with Luzerne County Agen- cies in’ making $100,000 avail- able to Luzerne County residents who do not have the insurance or the financial means to seek treat- ment,’ Adults, adolescents, and fami- lies suffering from the affects of alcohol or drug addiction are eli- gible to seek funding to enter Caron’s 28-day residential pro- gram. Meadows honors nurses aide grads Caron officials will work with members of the Luzerne County Single County Authority (SCA) - the local community agency re- sponsible for administering pro- grams for underprivileged - and they will be responsible for over- seeing the use of the funds and helping to determine eligibility. The funds will be available be- tween July 1 and June 30, 1999 by contacting SCA who will evalu- ate the referral for inpatient rehabilitiation appropriateness and financial appropriateness. The Meadows Nursing Center, Dallas, recently held a recognition ceremony to honor graduates of the center's Nurses Aide Training Program who attained state certification by successfully completing a written and a practical skills test.
