The offense was led by the running of Steve Salavantis and Billy Youells. Salavantis had TD runs of 8, 35, 28 and 5 yards and added to the scoring with a 30 yard punt return. QB Kenny Regan connected with Dan Smith on a pass for a two point conversion to cap the scoring. Paving the way for the running backs was the fine performance of the offensive line of Jonathan Taylor, Patrick Rother, Doug Zaruta, Ben Nulton and William Siglin. The Raiders defense behind the efforts of Jonathan Miller, Chris Higdon and Kevin Elston, kept the Mini-mounts out of the end-zone. Raiders next game will be Sunday at Plymouth. Raiders B comes alive to top Dallas On Sunday at Memorial Field in Dallas, the visiting Kingston Township B-Team, used an inspired second half to defeat the Dallas Mini-Mounts, 22-0. After an uneventful first quarter, Derrick Elston sparked the Raiders with a nifty 50-yard scamper around right end. Brian Ostrowsky capped off the scoring with a two point conversion. Quarterback Matt Kelly led the charge with pin-point passing to Kevin Roman. Kelly connected with Ostrowsky for the second score of the game. Elijah Miller and Elston provided electrifying runs generating another scoring opportunity allowing Kelly to sweep it around the right side. Once again Kelly to Ostrowsky provided the two point conversion. Providing leadership defensively were stalwarts Andrew Hiller, Tom Perrigo, Curt Montz and David Judge. Steve Wengen, Jaimie Trocki and Nick Major shut down the Mounts’ outside running game en route to the defensive shutout. The Raiders play away next Sunday ir in Plymouth with the game starting at 1 p.m. In C division, Raiders squeak by, 6-0 In a defensive battle, the Kingston Township Raiders C-Team defeated the Dallas Mini Mounts 6-0 on a 48 yard punt return by David Henry. The Raiders defense led by Josh Backes, Eric T ucker and Daniel Kuligowski kept the Mini Mounts bottled up throughout the day. Chad Kubasti recovered a fumble deep in Dallas territory but the Raiders were kept out of the end zone by a stingy Mini Mount defense. The offensive line for the Raiders did a good job of controlling the line of scrimmage. Mark Rondina, Lee Kozokas, Kubasti, Josh Hilstolsky and Ryan Urzan opened some big roles but the Raiders were unable to punch in a score. : The Raiders next game is Sunday, Sept. 6 at Plymouth.
