BMT students participate in Bravo! Dance this summer . + While many area children spent the past week shopping for school clothes and enjoying the last days ofsummer vacation, Bravo! Dance students spent the week in the studio studying a variety of dance forms with Bravo!’s talented fac- ulty. Younger students experi- enced classes in Ballet, Character and Jazz, while more advanced students attended classes every day from 1:30 to 5:30 in Ballet, Pointe, Modern, Character and Jazz. Dancers from the Back Moun- tain participated in the program. Many of the students had not experienced Modern or Character dance classes before. “I really liked the classes,” said Whitney Adams of Dallas. “There are very few, if any, dance schools around Dallas Lions install officers here that offer this kind of pro- gram.” Dancers from the Back Mountain attending the classes were: Hillary Adams, Mariel Adams, Whitney Adams, Alyse Benoit, Catherine Sullivan, Eliza- beth Sullivan, Kasia Szulborski, Kira Szulborski and Jaimie Verazin. Bravo! dance is directed by Trinette Singleton, former princi- pal dancer with the Joffrey Ballet, and current instructor with the Joffrey Ballet School, NYC. Mike Pelletier to preach in Noxen Scouts earn religious awards Recently, 20 scouts completed the requirements for either the God and Me or God and Family Protestant Religious Award. Each scout was required to complete a variety of projects during the month-long program. The scouts received their religious medallions upon completion of the requirements and were recognized for their achievement during a recent church service at the Dallas United Methodist Church.The recipients of the God and Me Award are: Daniel Anderson, Kyle Arnaud, Adam Blockus, Eric Danko, Daniel Gilbert, Matthew Glicini, Kyle Hazleton, Tim Jackson, Anthony Macri and Chris Mozeleski. These scouts are members of Cub Scout Pack 281.
