Board will hear charges against one of the teach- ers, attempt to solve problem caused by slow tax returns, will adopt a budget and may appoint a successor to Harry L. Tennyson, Supervising Principal who will leave July 1. WPA workmen employed on a project will clean up the old Rice Cemetery on Huntsville Road, clearing brush, straightening tombstones, and tidying up the lovely spot. The cemetery dates back to the early 1800's. The Kick-Off dinner will be held on Monday, June 1, at Damien’s Restaurant at Harveys Lake. Cash bar cocktails will begin at 6 p.m. and dinner will be served at 7 p.m. The dinner will be followed by a mini auction. The cost is $25 per person and reservations with check may be made at the library. Everyone is welcome to attend. " The introduction of the new book ‘store will take place at the auction. The permanent book store is located under the new children’s wing and will be open through the year on specific days for book sales.
