An annual social event, the dinner acts as the forerunner for the much anticipated library auction which will be held July 9-12 at the library grounds in Dallas. The night promises to be an evening filled with delightful dining as well as an action packed mini-auction featuring new and antiquated ~ items. Dinner begins at 7 p.m. with auction starting at 8:15. Ticket price is $25. The public is cordially invited to attend. Tickets may be purchased at the library or by calling Karen Boback at 639-2265. Legion Memorial Day parade to be held May 25 Daddow-Isaacs Post 672, The American Legion in Dallas, will hold its annual Memorial Day Parade and Program, Mon., May 25. The Parade will leave the Legion Home at 9 a.m. and pro- ceed to the Memorial in Dallas Center, where a short program will be held. The parade will then go to the Warden Cemetery on the corner of Lake St. and E. Center Hill Road where Senator Lemmond will give the Memorial Day ad- dress. Taking part in the parade will be all Units of the Legion, the Legion Auxiliary and Sons of the Legion. The Dallas Senior High School Band, Todd Hunter, Di- rector. Also area Fire and Ambu- lance Companies, Boy and Girl Scouts, and youth groups of the Back Mountain. Antique cars will be provided for 50 year and life members of the Legion. An additional service will be held at Chapel Lawn Cemetery Republican Assoc. installs officers At the April meeting of the Back Mountain Republican Assoc. new ‘officers were installed for two year terms. The Back Mountain ‘Republican Assoc. was created to raise public awareness of the electoral process, encourage voter participation and registration of new voters.
