The center should create more than 100 jobs, said Banta, and the developers hired workers from thearea for the renovation. Banta said they even had a former Na- tive Textiles employee working on the building. The couple said the commu- nity has been supportive of the project from day one. “Being in Dallas has been terrific,” said Banta. “We really love it here. Dallas has been very pro-busi- ness.” Haas agreed. “The supervisors at Dallas Borough really helped us,” he said. The couple is planning to open the building by July, 1998.
