Samuel was the lead runner for the Panthers in a recent large invitational meet at Lehigh University. He is an English major preparing to graduate in December. Samuel was an all-state performer while at Dallas High School. He will lead the Panthers into the heart of their schedule as they compete in the Duquesne Invitational, then move on to the Big East championships at Van Courtland Park in New York City before closing out his Division 1 career in the NCAA qualifying race Nov. 15 at Penn State. Church offers program for children Back Mountain Harvest Assembly Church has begun a new program for children ages 18 months to 12 years, the Missionettes and Royal Rangers. Deb Burke is the program coordinator. All local children are invited to attend the program which is held on Sunday evenings from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. at the church which is located at 340 Carverton Rd. in Trucksville. Burke said the program is designed to provide group interaction while teaching life skills, personal responsibility and biblical values.
