Pillips, 72, of Village Road, Orange, Franklin Township, lied Sept. 16, 1997, at the Wilkes- Barre General Hospital. Born in the Miners Mills sec- tion of Wilkes-Barre, he was the son of the late Henry and May Derr Phillips. He graduated from Dallas Township High School and re- sided in Orange for the past 47 years. Before retiring, he was em- ployed as a delivery man by the Orange and Dallas Dairies. He was previously employed by Natona Mills, Dallas. He was a member of the Orange United Methodist Church and the Franklin Township Volunteer Fire Co. He served in the U.S. Navy dur- ing World War II. He was preceded in death by a brother, William. Surviving are his wife, the former Marian Livingood; sons, Joseph, Kunkletown; Richard, at home; Paul, Lincoln, NE; Todd, Omaha, NE; a daughter, Terri Ann Kelley, Trucksville; a brother, Robert, Centermoreland; sisters, Carrie Phillips, Dallas; Edith Shupp, Dallas; four grandchil- dren.
