Elder Arthur Redmond per- formed the wedding service. The bride is the daughter of Robert and Sarah Harvey of Centermoreland. The groom is the son of Judith L. Nichols of Boyertown and James E. Dunn Sr., of Fleetwood. The bride was escorted to the altar by her father, and given in marriage by her parents. The bride chose her close friend Marie Kane as her ma- tron of honor. Bridesmaids were Mary Ann Bartoli, friend of the bride, and Denise Breidegam, sister of the groom. Junior bridesmaid was Stephanie Breidegam, niece of the groom. Flower girl was Rebekah Kane, niece of the bride. Melvin E. Wyatt, close friend of the groom, served as best man. Groomsmen were William T. Birt, friend of the groom and Scott Breidegam, brother in law of the groom. Usher were Robert L. Harvey Jr. and Donald Harvey, broth- ers of the bride, Guest Book Registrar was Elizabeth Kane, niece of the bride, and Christo- pher Kane II, nephew of the bride, was in charge of giving out bubbles and seed. The bride and groom pre- sented roses to their mothers and memorial roses were pre- sented in memory of Josephine Dunn and Grace Birt. Organist was Robert Lane and pianist was Florence Atkinson. Soloists were Robert Lane, William T. Birt and Woodring Redmond. An afternoon luncheon re- ception was held at Kozy K,. Wilkes-Barre with music by Supplee Strings. The bride was honored at two bridal showers given by her Robin Harvey, James E. Dunn Jr. marry Robin L. Harvey and James E. Dunn Jr. bridal attendants and mothers of the bride and groom. Rehearsal dinner was held at Elby’s Wilkes-Barre. Th newlyweds honeymooned in Florida and Grand Bahama Island and will reside in Centermoreland; RR 2, Box 371A, Harveys Lake. Payne takes first in talent competition Samantha Payne recently at- tended the Cavalcade of Stars Talent Competition held at the Split Rock Lodge in the Poconos. She won first place and gold medals in Pan- tomime, Novelty and Country Western along with second place and a sil- ver medal in solo SAMANTHA PAYNE tap. Samantha also won a first place gold medal with duo partner Chrissy Kazmierski for their duo panto- mime routine. Samantha is also a member of the dance group “Red Hot” which captured first place awards in each category they entered: tap, jazz, pantomime and novelty. Red Hot was also named Best Overall Group in their age division and was chosen as one of the top five highest scoring groups in the jun- ior portion of the competition. The group was also the spin off winner out of these five groups. Samantha is the daughter of Samuel and Rosemary Payne of Hunlock Creek and a dance stu- dent under the direction of Robert and Kristine Oberst., owners and directors of the Back Mountain Dance Studio of Dallas. Trinity confirms seven new members Seven young people were received into membership at Trinity Presbyterian Church in Dallas through confirmation of faith. The confirmands led the wordship service on May 4 and were received into the church on May 18. For the next four weeks he will be in Philadelphia for bone marrow transplants.
