On Jan. 29, Dallas Auto Rental in- formed police that Gregor had not returned a car that was lent to him by the owner of Dallas Auto Rental. Gregor was employee of 5 company, but was fired on n. 24. He allegedly asked the owner if he could borrow one of the cars as he did not have a way to get home. The owner obliged with the agreement that Gregor return the car on Jan. 25. D. U.L. CHARGES + The following people waived their rights to a hearing in front of Jiidge James Tupper on Feb. 6: *e Dallas resident Michael Dymond, 19, who was arrested on Jan. 25 by Kingston Township patrolman Robert Parrish after police were notified about an acci- dent at the Pen-Fern building in which Dymond was involved. 'Abreath test indicated his blood alcohol to be .015, over the legal limit of .002 for minors. e W. Pittston resident Roger Lionel Croteau, 29, who was ar- rested on Dec. 4 by Kingston na parolman Robert ish after police received a call 5: Bodle and 8th street. Upon afrival police found Croteau parked and passed out on the od Cheryl Shales of Dallas Auto Rental told police that she called Gregor's residence numerous times and went to the Kingston American Legion, a place he was known to patronize, to look for him. A worker at the Legion told her that the defendant had been in on Jan. 24 and stated that he intended to drive the car to Florida. After running a check on Gregor, police found his license was expired and suspended. A related charge of driving while operating privleges were provoked was dismissed. passenger seat. Miller, 42, was arrested by King- ston Township patrolman James J. Ibbotson after police observed him driving erratically on Rt. 309. Thus, Miller's license will be suspended for one year. His case is headed to court. DRUG CHARGES ¢ Shickshinny resident Mark A. Lacey, 36, was arrested by King- ston Township patrolman Franklin M. Buckler after police observed him driving erratically on Rt. 309. Police found what field tests proved to be marijuana in a clear plastic baggie. Lacey told police that he did smoke some of the marijuana and took some Xanax, Darovcet and Robitussin. Blood and urine tests were posi- tive for marijuana and Alprazolam (Xanax). Miller told police he takes pills for pain he experiences in his hip from a previous car accident. He was also charged with driv- ing under the influence of a con- trolled substance, possession of drug paraphinalia and driving with a suspended license. * Hazleton resident Joanne Duarte (Forte), 56, was arrested ondJan. 16 by PA State patrolman Richard Geffken after police were called to the State Correctional Institute in Dallas. A search re- vealed a small bag of marijuana in the defendant's coat pocket. The defendant told police that it was hers and that she smoked it to calm her nerves. A search of her vehicle revealed a bag of mari- juana and a pipe. Field tests were positive for marijuana. A charge of posession of drug paraphanalia was dismissed. DISMISSED CHARGES e Charges against Trucksville resident Donald M. Cool Jr., 25, for furnishing liquor to a minor and corruption of a minor were dismissed on Feb. 6. The charges stem from an Oct. 25 arrest of Nichols by Dallas Borough partolman James Martin after police were told that Cool fur- nished a 15 year old with alcohol.
