MAGIC 47 - BULLS 46 The third game had the Magic knocking the Bulls from the ranks of the unbeaten by a score of 47- 46. The first quarter was nip and tuck with the Bulls holding on to a 11-8 quarter ending lead. The second quarter, was much the same with Paul Dougal scoring at will for the Bulls and Jay Carroll for the Magic. The third period was the turning point of the game, with the Magic outscoring the Bulls 17 to 11, to take a 35-34 lead. The fourth quarter had both teams trading baskets, with the Magic scoring the winning basket with 4 seconds to go. Paul Dougal's last second attempt came up short. The Magic's offense was led by Jay Carroll with a game high 33 points, including 4 three- point baskets. The Bulls offense was led by Paul Dougal with 29 points followed by Lloyd Droppers with 10 points and Danny Laurenzi with 7 points. The Bulls’ record drops to 3-1, while the Magic's record goes to 3-1. CELTICS 53 - BLAZERS 38 In the final game of the after- noon, the Celtics defeated the Trailblazers by a score of 53-28. The first quarter had the Trail- blazers outscoring the Celtics 8 - 6. The second quarter was much the same with the Trailblazers outscoring the Celtics 13-10 to take a 21-16 halftime lead. The | . .
