Trucksville United Methodist Church slates rummage sale September 25-26 The United Methodist Women of the Trucksville United Method- ist Church will sponsor a rum- mage sale on Sept. 25 and 26. Good quality children’s and adult clothing will be offered for sale at very reasonable prices. The sale hours will be 2 p.m.-8 p.m. on Wed., Sept. 25 and 10 a.m.-2 p.m. on Thurs., Sept. 26. Bag Day will be from 12 noon until closing on Sept. 26. All merchandise will sell for $1 a bag. In conjunction with the sale, the Nearly-New Kids Shop will be open on Thurs., Sept. 26 from 10 a.m.-noon. The rummage sale will be held in the Fellowship Hall of the Edu- cational Building of the Trucksville United Methodist Church, Church Road (just off Route 309N) Trucksville. The Nearly-New Kids Shop is located in the Memorial Room (lower level) of the church. Meals on Wheels seeks volunteers Meals on Wheels is looking for volunteers to help distribute meals in sections of the Back Mountain and Wyoming Valley. The work takes approximately two hours a day, between 10 a.m. and noon. Volunteers may schedule days whenever it's convenient. Call 288-1023 between 7:30 a.m. and noon. Sept. 18, 1996 at 9 a.m. in the high school office. The Nurs- ery School is held in conjunction with the Child Development and Parenting classes. A morning session will be held from 9:30 to 11:00 a.m. and an afternoon session will be held from 12:15 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. The pro- gram will begin the week of Oct. 27, 1996 and continue until the end of Jan. 1997. The program will resume mid-March 1997 and continue the remainder of the se- mester. The afternoon session will be extended from 12:15 p.m. to 2:45 p.m. The preschoolers will partici- pate in free play, story time, snack time and art and gym activities. Children must be Dallas School District residents and be three of four years old by Sept. 30, 1996. Tbere is no cost for the program.
