There won't be an auction this year; all donated items will be sold at the small goods stand. Bids on a handmade quill can be made at the baked goods stand. Open house at P&G plant Aug. 14-15 The employees of Procter & Gable's paper products plant at Mehoopany are hosing an Open House on Wednesday and Thursday, Aug. 14 and 15. Tours are self-guided and no tickets or reservations are required. Doors will open at 1 p.m. each day and close at 8 p.m. - The plant is located on PA Route 87, in Washington Township, just east of the village of Mehoopany, in Wyoming County. It is the largest P&G plant in the world, employing more than 2,500 Northeastern Pennsylvanians and providing an annual payroll of nearly $100 million. Vans available for transport to VA Hospital Area veterans need not worry about transportation to and from the Wilkes-Barre Department of Veteran Afairs (VA) Medical Center for treatment. That VA medical facility recently received three vans [rom the . Disabled American Veterans (DAV), a million-member-plus nonprofit organization. The vans will be driven by a corps of local volunteers organized by DAV and its Auxiliary. Heading up the effort is Michael S.
