Korean War Vets to hold ceremony July 27 The Korean War Veterans Association of Wyoming Valley will commemorate the 43rd anniversary of the cease-fire in Korea at a ceremony July 27, at 10 a.m. on the south lawn of the Luzerne County Courthouse, in Wilkes-Barre. During the Korean War, 139 men {rom the greater Wyoming Valley lost their lives, while the federalized 109th FA suffered 33 fatalities in the tragic Coshocton, Ohio, train wreck. Boat ramp at lake to close July 29 The Pennsylvania Fish & Boat Commission's access at Harveys Lake: will be closed for the week of July 29 for seal coating of the parking lot. Weather permitting, the work is expected tobe done as early in the week as possible. College to host Keystone Dance Clinic College Misericordia, Dallas will host the 1996 Keystone State Dance ClinicJuly 26 and 27. The two-day event will feature a variety of classes taught by master instructors from across the East Coast and is open to all accomplished dancers over the age of 13 with at least five years experience. The weekend dance intensive will include master classes in ballet, tap and jazz taught by professionals from Broadway, interpretive and theater dance, modern, health and nutrition, country line and even Greek folk dance. The seminars will be conducted by experienced teachers from Pennsylvania, North Carolina and New York City and will be divided into two levels, intermediate and advanced.
