It's the symbol of Pendragon Plaza, a new professional and re- tail facility being developed by George and Carol Isaacs on the site of the former Howard “Duke” Isaacs auto dealership on Route 309. “Pendragon means ‘high chief in Welsh and was the last name of ‘the legendary Welsh kings Uther and Arthur,” Isaacs said. “My wife ‘suggested it because my great- great grandfather came from the same area in Wales as King Arthur. I'd love to incorporate the Pendragon symbol into our logo.” ‘[$aacs learned about King Arthurand Uther Pendragon from ~Celtic history and the Arthurian “legends, which he enjoys reading. + ‘Bids for the first phase of the development will be let in early July, with construction to begin shortly thereafter, Isaacs said.
