Interment at Edge Hill Cem- ‘ etery, West Nanticoke. ELIZABETH REESE Elizabeth (Betty) R. Reese, 84, of Hi Meadows Apartments, Dal- las, died Friday, February 23 at home. She was born Sept. 19,1911, in Gibson, daughterofthe late Harley G. and Carloine D. Dymond Tingley, and was a 1929 graduate of Kingston High School. Mrs. Reese had been employed for many years as a clerk by Na- tive Textiles, formerly Natona Mills, Dallas. She was a member of Trucksville United Methodist Church and served on its admin- istrative board. She volunteered at Nesbitt Memorial Hospital, Kingston. Mrs Reese was a member of the Nesbitt Hospital Rural Auxiliary, the United Methodist Women Friend- ship Class and the Colonial Dames ofthe 17th Century, Penelope Van Princess Chapter, New Jersey. Her husband, Herman B., died in 1962. Sister, Frances Barrell, in 1981. Surviving are daughters, Mrs. James R. (Bonnie) Turner, Mountainside, N.J.; Mrs. J. Bruce (Nancy) Cleasby, Sumter, S.C.; six grandchildren; eight great- grandchildren; nieces and neph- ews. Interment Memorial Shrine Park, Carverton. Zwolinski, 88, of Carpenter Road, Harveys Lake, died Monday February 19, at home. Saul, 86, of Laurel Lane, Shrine Acres, Dallas, died Thursday. February 22, in Mead- ows Nursing Center, Dallas. Born Dec. 26, 1909, in Scranton, he was the son of the late George and Caroline Kern Saul. He graduated from Scranton Technical High School and the University of Pennsylvania, Wharton School of Business, Philadelphia. He was employed as an insur- ance agent by American Surely Co. of Scranton; Howell & Jones, Inc., Wilkes-Barre; and Wilson H,. Flock, Inc., Wyoming. On Jan. 1, 1967, he founded R.A. Saul Agency, Inc., Kingston, before re- tiring in September 1991. He was a former resident of Scranton, Forty Fory, Kingston and had lived in Dallas since 1965. He held the title of designation from Charter Property and Casu- alty Underwriters. He was hon- ored Dec. 4, 1995 for his 50 years of service by the Wilkes-Barre As- sociation for the Blind and also served as its president for five terms, treasurer for 30 years and a member of the board of direc- tors. He was active with the Boy Scouts of America and received its Silver Beaver Award. He was a former president of the Wilkes- Barre Lion's Club and was amem- ber of the Toastmaster of Wyo- ming Valley, Royal Order of Jest- ers, Masonic Lodge No. 395, Kingston, Bloomsburg Consistory, Irem Temple, Wyoming Valley Country Club, Valley Tennis and Swim Club, Irem Temple Golf As- sociation, Westmoreland Club and Trinity Presbyterian Church of Dallas. He as preceded in death by his wife, the former Marion Sanner, and a brother, Warren Saul. Surviving are his sons, Robert A.. Dallas; Richard A. Jr., Boston; grandchildren, Karin Foxman, Sterling, Va.; Christopher Saul, Alexandria, Va.; great- grandaughters, Emily and Eliza- beth Foxman, Sterling, Va. Interment Fern Knoll Burial Park, Dallas. Born in Pittston, he was the son of the late Stanley and Mary Olender Zarno. He resided in Franklin Town- ship most of his life and was a member of St. Frances X Cabrini Church, Carverton, Kingston Township, and a former member of the Franklin Township Fire Co. He was employed as a mine worker by various local collieries and also worked as a carpenter for many years. He worked as a groundskeeper for College Misericordia, Dallas Township, before retiring. He was preceded in death by his brothers, Henry, Alex, Joseph, Edward and Stanley Zarno; sis- ters, Sophie Paul, Bertha Prusasky and Helen Ziembroski.
