Girls will learn rounds, action songs, game songs, Girl Scout songs, songs from other countries, favorite silly songs, and “create your own”. They will explore musical glasses and homemade instru- ments. BROWNIE SCIENCE WONDERS WORKSHOP There will be a Brownie Science Wonders Workshop on April 20th, 9:00 - 12:00, Heights Elementary Center, (Across from the council office), Wilkes-Barre. The first 100 girls to sign up will experience the magic of Science Wonders in a program using activities from the Franklin Institute. They will make The Cadette/Senior Mini-Workshops and Module II Update for Leaders will be held in four locations around the Council. They will offer information and progrant for the girls and for the Leaders, Assistant Leaders and other adults working with older girl programs. The Bloomsburg session will be on October 23 at the First English Baptist Church. The Hazleton Session will be on November 9 at Trinity Lutheran Church. The session for Wyoming Valley will be on November 18 at the Council Office. The final session will be in Pottsville on November 29 at Trinity Lutheran Church. Please register with Deb Gallagher at least one week prior to the event. Girls who do not have an active troop in their area or who cannot attend regular troop Six Girl Scouts from Troop 622, Kingston Township, who have been together in Girl Scouting for the past 11 years, are shown above with their Leaders, Jamie and John Kozemko, and brother John, in Paris, France. The Eifel Tower is in the background. Three years of planning and fund raising made the trip possible. The girls sold cookies and candy, ran Country Western Dances, did Hunter’s Breakfasts, and wrapped books at Walden Books at Christmas time. Their 16 day trip took them to London, England; Paris, France; Lucerne and Lugano in Switzerland; Florence, Rome, Pisa, Venice, Tivoli, and the Isle of Capri in Italy. They traveled with folks from a dozen countries including Girl Guides from Australia. In a word, they all say their trip was WONDERFUL! overnight camping trip to Camp Orchard Hill. The registration dead- line will be December 1 and there must be a minimum of 21 participants to have this weekend happen. @ Sixty-eight Cadette and Senior Girl Scouts from all around the Council had a great trip to Cape May, New Jersey on May 19 and 20. They toured historic Cape May and went on a Dolphin Watch, and enjoyed every minute. The group is shown above on the boat, ready to go and look for dolphins.
