Frances Slocum Lake to be lowered Officials of the Department of Environmental Resources at Frances Slocum State Park are announcing the drawdown of Frances Slocum Lake for the initial phase of construction of a fishing pier for the physically challenged. : The drawdown is tentatively scheduled to continue through March into early April. Baker to head Governor's Northeast Regional Office Governor Tom Ridge has an- nounced the appointment of Lisa Baker, Lehman Township, as the director of the Governor's newly created Northeastern Pennsylva- nia Regional Office. Baker previously served as the Executive Assistant and Chief to State Senator Charles D. Lemmond, Jr. for nearly 10 years and as a Research Assistant to Senate President Pro Tempore Robert C.
