He was a graduate of Lake- Lehman High School and received his bachelor's degree in business administration from Wilkes Uni- versity. He also earned his flight training from Embry-Riddle Aero- nautical University, Daytona Beach, FL. From 1969 to 1990, he was employed as a customer service representative by Piper Aircraft Corp., Lock Haven, where he was in charge of marketing the Chey- enne series. He and Gen. Chuck Yeager set 38 world records in the Cheyenne IV, most of which are still unbro- ken. One of his unbroken records was a Boston-to-Paris flight set with Cal Arter of Mill Hall. He was vice president of Trans Pacific Air, Lock Haven, where he was employed at the time of his death. He was a member of Quiet Birdman Association, Lakeland, FL and an enthusiastic worker for the Sun'n Fun Fly-In held in Lakeland, FL.
