While in Australia, Sidonio will Whiz kids visit Sydney, Caberra and Cairns. Her trip will include visits to gov- ernment offices and schools, where she will meet high school students and study Australia’s history and government. Upon her return she will give an oral and slide presentation. An aspiring physician /surgeon, she also is eligible to receive col- lege credits for this experience. New nurse practitioner program to start This fall College Misericordia will offer a new Family Nurse Practitio- ner program, open to nurses with bachelor of science or master of science degrees in nursing. The course will prepare them to function as primary care providers. Misericordia currently is the only institution to offer the FNP program in Northeast Pennsylvania. The program will prepare nurses to become licensed as Certified Registered Nurse Practitioners.
