Dallas Middle School Preparations for the opening of the Dallas Middle School have been underway. Mr. Anthony B. Martinelli, Principal, and his staff have been busy all summer ready- ing the building and program for the opening classes on Wednes- day, September 8, 1993. The school's master schedule has been constructed to provide each student with a well-rounded program of subjects supplemented with numerous co-curricular and extra-curricular activities. Sixth, seventh-, and eighth- grade students will report to the middle school building between 7:45 and 8:00 a.m. Sixth-grade students, upon arrival at school, will report directly to the audito- rium. Seventh-grade students, upon arrival at school, will report directly to the gymnasium. Eighth-grade students will report directly to the cafeteria. At this time, a short orientation program including assignment to home- rooms will be made. Students will ‘then be instructed to report to their homerooms in preparation for their first day of school. To insure greater security of student lockers, combination padlocks will be available to rent for a $2.00 refundable fee. Stu- dents are asked to please bring $2.00 to school the first day. Locks will be available from the home- room teachers. Personal locks are not permitted. Students will be able to pur- chase a nutritious lunch begin- ning with the first day of school. The price of a Class A lunch is $1.40. Dallas High School Mr. Frank P. Galicki, Principal of the Dallas Senior High School, announces that the 1993-94 school year will begin for all stu- dents in the Dallas School Dis- trict on Wednesday, September 8. The professional staff of the Dal- las Schools will participate in an in-service program beginning Tuesday, September 7. The high school begins at 8:00 A.M. and dismisses at 3:00 P.M. Parents are requested to consult the bus routes published in the newspapers to determine their child's bus assignment and de- parture points.
