General Waterworks of Pennsylvania, Inc., just recently - completed a capital improvement program in our Harveys Lake ~ Borough water system, placing these facilities into operation approximately three weeks ago. - Theimprovements costing approximately $160,000.00 included the purchase of land at the top of Carpenter Road, the drilling of anew well there on, and construction of a treatment facility and 22,000 gallon finished water storage reservoir as well as the installation of approximately 1,700" of water main to connect these facilities to our existing service area. These facilities were put into service approximately three weeks ago and have corrected longtime system deficiencies, of low water pressure and lack of finished water storage that was the cause of numerous service outages.
