Born in Kunkle, Jan. 18, 1912, he was the son of the late William + and Florence Smith Nulton. He worked for 32 years as a tanner at the Armour Tannery, Noxen. He also worked at Nation- wide Tire Co. for 10 years and ran the trains at Hanson's Amuse- ment Park, Harveys Lake. He was preceded in death by his wife, Jessie; sons, Claude Jr. and Alton; sister, Eloise. Abrother, Clifford, was missing in action in World War II. Robert Jan McLaughlin Sr. of Harveys Lake, died Mar. 30, 1993, at home. Born in Luzerne, he was the son of Mrs. Blanche Roberts McLaughlin of Luzerne and the late Thomas McLaughlin. He was agraduate of Luzerne High School. He served in the Navy. He was employed by Maiers Bakery, Wilkes-Barre, as a bread salesman. He was preceded in death by a brother, Thomas.
