It is a warm and touching drama centering around a young woman who has recently lost ‘her only child. It will be presented on Saturday, Dec. 19 and Sunday, Dec. 20, at 7 p.m. both evenings. Decorating contest in Kingston Twp. The Kingston Township Recreation Commission is sponsoring a home decorating contest for the 1992 holiday season. “Holiday Homes Contest” is open to all Kingston Township homes. Three U.S. Savings Bonds will be awarded as prizes. Judging will take place during evening hours by the Kingston Township Recreation Commission members. To enter contact the Kingston Township Municipal Office by 4:30 p.m., De- 'cember 10. Winter parking rules in Kingston Twp. Kingston Township Police Chief Paul M. Sabol would like to remind residents that the Winter Parking Ordinance is in effect through March 31, 1993. Under this ordinance residents are prohibited from parking vehicles on township streets between the hours of 2 a.m. and 6 a.m. each day. The ordinance is designed to keep the township streets open and clear so that snow removal measures can be effectively undertaken by the Road Department. The Chief urges all township residents to co- operate in complying with the Township Ordinance. Lake Twp. will recycle December 12 The Lake Township Recycling Center will be open Saturday, Dec. 12, from 10-12 noon, accepting aluminum and bi-metal cans, clear, brown and green glass. Plastic water and milk jugs, and soda containers will be accepted. No other plastic can be accepted. Mothers of Twins meet December 14 The Luzerne County Mother's of Twins and Triplets Club will hold their annual Christmas dinner meeting on Monday, Dec. 14, at the Pittston Convention Center, 1073 Oak Street, Pittston Twp. Thomas Matthews St. Hubert's Chapel, Kirtland, Ohio was the setting for the wed- ding of Paulette Lee Niznik, Dallas and W. Thomas Matthews of Medford, Oregon. Father Terrance Dautel performed the double ring ceremony. The bride is the eldest daughter of Paul and Ann Marie Niznik, Dallas. The groom is the youngest son of Dr. William Matthews and Mrs. Jacqueline Matthews-Graft of Medford, Oregon. The bride was escorted by her father and given in marriage by her parents. The bride chose her sister, Lisa S. Niznik, as the maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Lynn Bender and Fran Murray of Ohio and Tracy Stout of Shoemakersville, PA. The bride's gown was designed and created by Lisa S. Niznik. The groom chose David Bender of Ohio for his best man. Groomsmen were Scott Schraff, Robert Sheplavy and Craig Shea of Ohio. The wedding party wore teal and pink with the cala lily as the fea- tured flower. The setting was a country chapel on the bank of the Chagrin River. The sister and brother of the groom, flutist Pamela Hughes of Australia and guitarist Robert Matthews of Oregon, played for the ceremony. The wedding party was escorted to the re- ception by a fleet of 1930 Model A cars. The bride and groom were honored by their friends and family with a shower, a bachelorette party and a bachelor party. A rehearsal dinner for the bridal party and family members was in Ohio at Rider's Mansion, a quaint inn built in 1812. An adult reception took place during the evening of the wedding at Landerhaven immediately following a garden cocktail party. The event was catered by Executive Caterers of Ohio and professional entertainment was provided by Gary Phillips. The godfather of the bride, Frank Niznik of Larksville, along with Clay Pot owner and friend of the family, Joseph Sheridan, created exquisite center- pieces, car and church decorations. Mrs. Matthews is a graduate of Dallas Senior High School and College Misericordia where she earned a Bachelor of Science in Nursing. Mrs. Matthews is currently employed as an anesthesia resident while in the process of completing a Mastes of Nursing Anesthesia. Matthews is a graduate of Medford Senior High School and C—O MR. AND MRS. W. THOMAS MATTHEWS Southern Oregon State University where he earned a Bachelor of Science in Physics. Matthews is currently employed as an engineer at Lincoln Electric Co. of Cleveland and will complete a Masters in Business Administration in the near future. The couple spent their honeymoon cruising the southern Car- ibbean Islands followed by a weekend in Montreal, Quebec, Can- ada.
