Sentemher 23 1Qa2 Wednesday, September 23, 1992 y - COMMUNITY ‘Drama team to visit Noxen Independent Bible Church The “Truth in Action” drama . team from Bob Jones University in Greenville, South Carolina, is scheduled to be at the Noxen Independent Bible Church on “Sunday, October 11, 1992, at 9:45 a.m. The six-member team is touring ‘the eastern United States this fall, presenting a program based on the theme “The Anticipation of His Coming.” The first part is an -adaptation ofa memorable sermon preached by Dr. Bob Jones, Sr., entitled “The Light of theWorld." This sermon is presented in readers’ theater stylewith the entire team participating. The second portion of the program, an original story dramatizing the rapture of Christ's true church, is called “The Forgotten Bridegroom.” The main character, a non-Christian young man, seeks to understand what has taken place. Sem students named to Jr. Leadership Wilkes-Barre Two Back Mountain students from Wyoming Seminary College Preparatory School, Kingston, have been named school representatives toJunior Leadership Wilkes-Barre. They are Jennifer Savage, '95, Harveys Lake, and Sonia Kimm, '94, Shavertown. Throughout the year, the students will take part in informational sessions on education, health care, local government and the judicial system. Together with ) Valerie Prothero meets representatives from other area schools, they will discuss problems that their communities face, and be asked to find possible ways of meeting these challenges. Kanjorski (D-Pa.) met recently with Valerie Prothero of Dallas, who was attending the Congressional Youth Leadership Council conference in Washington, D.C. The production of “Swan Lake” will open the Northeastern Pennsylvania Academy of Dancing and Children's Ballet Theatre Company's ballet season. Hartshorne is a member of the Shavertown U. academy's Bobette Dance team and will be performing as a Cygnette in the production. Four other members of the team were chosen as Cygnettes. Saxon will be featured in the leading role as the White Swanand is a member of the Starlette Dance Company. Saxon appeared as the fairy godmother in the academy's production of “Cinderella” lastyear. M. Church gets new youth worker ErinJohnson has recently begun her duties as youth worker in the the Shavertowwn United Methodist Church. Johnson will relate to junior and senior high groups in terms of Christian education and service. She is a graduate of Dallas Area High School and has completed a year of study at Albright College. She is currently a student at Luzerne County Community College’ and later will enter the University of Maryland for a degree in Special Education.
