Born in Swoyersville, he was the son of the late Anthony and Cath- erine Ostrowski Brominski. He had resided in Wyoming Valley for most of his life. He was a graduate of Wyoming Seminary, Kingston amd Columbia University. Prior to re- tiring, he was employed as a school teacher. He was a football coach for Plymouth High School, Hazle- ton High School, Dallas High School and St. Louis University, St. Louis, Mo., during his lifetime. He was also a baseball umpire for the East Coast Leagues and a local basketball official. He was a member of St. Mary's Church, Swoyersville. He was a member of the Polish Union. He was a Navy veteran of World War II. He was also an inductee to the Wyoming Valley Sports Hall of Fame. He was preceded in death by his "wife, Victoria, in September 1986. Surviving are a son, Chenango Forks, NY; sister, Sophie Romutkoski, Swoyersville; four grandchildren. Funeral services were held at St. Mary's Church. Memorial donations may be made to the American Red Cross of Wyoming Valley or to the Wyoming Seminary Alumni Scholarship.
