Many federal agencies and inter- national organizations collect ~ environmental data for specific problems, but few efforts have brought the data together to focus on larger general global problems. The goal of this project, part of the International Geosphere-Bio- sphere Program {IGBP), is to de- velop better links with these agen- cies and conduct investigations of the impact of global greenhouse warming, atmospheric pollution .and major changes in land use.
