A resident of Dallas, she and her husband, Vincent, are the parents of three children, Theresa, 8; Christina, 7 and Vincent William, 5. A four year Tyler employee, she is a nurse anesthetist who previ- ously worked at Deborah Heart and Lung Center, New Jersey. She is a graduate of Minersville Area High School, Reading Hospi- tal School of Nursing and Episco- pal Hospital School of Anesthesia. ‘She is currently attending College Misericordia and is a member of the American Association of Nurse Anesthesia. Mrs. Carboni was nominated for “Employee of the Month" recog- nition for always being cheerful and outgoing. As “Employee of the Month," Mrs. Carboni receives dinner for two, use of the special parking space, a certificate and recogni- ‘tion in the hospital lobby display. Dr. Liuzzo published in ‘Journal of Economics! Dr. Anthony Liuzzo, of Dallas, “an associate professor in the Business and Economics depart- ment at Wilkes University, is the author of an article “Hedonic ‘Damages: Concepts, Measure- ments, and Problems”, published in the Journal of Economics by the American Academy of Eco- nomic and Financial Experts. An attorney with a Ph.D. in ‘economics, Dr. Liuzzo teaches a course called “The Legal Environ- ‘ment of Business” as well as other business courses. He earned his B.S. in market- ing at Fordam University, his J.D. ‘degree at St. John's, his M.B.A., Masters of Philosophy and his Ph.D. at New York University. + Dr. Liuzzo has served as the «editor of the “Journal of Business Issues” for six years. Brian Achuff completes Eagle Service Project Brian J. Achuff has completed his Eagle Service Project which was located at the Seven Tubs Nature Area, off Route 115 in Wilkes-Barre. His project consisted of clearing the existing Laurel Run Trail of overgrown brush and trash. He, also constructed a new trail called the Sandy Run which in- cluded making rock pathways over wet areas. This project totaled almost 200 hours of work and C-TEC presents Employees of C-TEC Corpora- tion with 25 or more years of serv- ice were recently honored for their contributions to the company at the fourth annual service awards dinner held in Wilkes-Barre. After opening remarks from C-TEC Chairman, Andrew J. Sordoni, III, and Vice President and Chief Administrative Officer, John J. Menapace, the honorees were presented with awards by C-TEC planning. Brian was assisted by members of Troop 281, Dallas, family and friends. This area at the Tubs with a Federal Grant and Brian's Project is being made into a public nature area where people can come to enjoy the great outdoors. Brian is a freshman at Dallas Senior High School and is the son of Mr. and Mrs. John A. Achuff, Lake Louise, Dallas. service awards President, Charles E. Parente. Boyle named VP for development at WVIA-TV Ray Boyle has been named vice- president of development by Bill Kelly, president/CEO, WVIA. Ray joined WVIA as Auction 44 coordinator in February 1986; he was then promoted to director of Development for Television in December of the same year. In July of 1991, Ray assumed direc- torship of development for both television and radio. Ray came to WVIA after a tenure with Little Brothers-Friends of the Elderly, Boston, Massachusetts as Development Director. There he coordinated activities for the Bos- ton office of this national non- profit agency. Boyle's history in- cludes work with many non-profit agencies in Massachusetts and State College, Pa. Boyle graduated Meyers High School and received his B.S. degree from Penn State University. AtWVIA, Ray directs major fund- raising events (membership cam- paigns), Special Events (WVIA Days), Press Club Luncheons, and a complex network of direct mails, FM campaigns, Auction 44; Art and Antique Auction, Corporate Underwriting, all of which consti- tute over one-third of the neces- sary monies, $1.5 million dollars to operate WVIA.
