Dr. Pearman and the other American administrators on the month-long 1991 seminar will meet in Bonn on April 10, and will re- turn home on May 9. Only one other Pennsylvanian is in the group-an administrator from the University of Pittsburgh. All expenses are paid by the Fulbright Commission. He has previously served as provost and vice president of academic affairs at Sacred Heart University in Fair- field, Connecticut. Prior to that he was academic dean and professor of socilogy/anthropology at Mill- ersville University for 14 years. He has also held faculty positions at Virginia Commonwealth Univer- sity, Loyola University and Fordham. Pearman earned his bachelor’s degree from LaSalle University in 1962 and received his master’s degree from Fordham University in 1964. In 1966, he received a doctorate in sociology from the University of Pittsburgh. He has published extensively in journals such as “National Issues in Higher Education,” “American ‘Sociological Association Teaching Newsletter” and “The American Journal of Public Health.” Wasserott to head diabetes association rose sale The American Diabetes Asso- ciation, Luzerne County Chapter, announced recently the selection of Charles Wasserott IV, President of Patient Care Corporation and Patient Care Pharmacy, as the 1991 General Chairman of their ‘1991 Mother's Day Rose Sale' commu- nity campaign which will begin on April 15. Mr. Wasserott, who has served as general chariman of last year's successful effort which raised over $22,000, was also recently elected to the very first State Board of the American Diabetes Association in Pennsylvania, being one of only two individuals from Luzerne County to be chosen. Active in numerous community affairs, groups, and professional organizations, Mr. Wasserott is currently serving as a board member of the Wilkes-Barre YMCA, Scoutmaster of Dallas Boy Scout Troop #281, community member of the Luzerne County Coalition for the Homeless, member of the Ethics and Judicial Reform Com- mittees for Common Cause /PA, a good government advocacy group based in Harrisburg, a honorary coach of the Penn State Nittany Lion Club. He is also a member of the Presi- dent's Club of King's College, a licensed real estate salesperson associated with Walter's Associ- ates of Kingston, chairman of this year's “Small Business Conference” sponsored by the Small Business Council of the Greater Wilkes-Barre Chamber of Commerce, and vice- chairman of College Misericordia’s 1991 Theater-On-The Green Com- mittee.
