Police report DALLAS BOROUGH _ DUI CHARGE AFTER HE ‘RUNS COP OFF ROAD Dale Shupp was cited for driv- ‘ing under the influence by Officer William Norris, Jr., when Shupp ‘nearly ran Norris off Church Street and Norris observed Shupp'’s car weaving about the road. Shupp’s blood alcohol test proved to be .20 land he was issued a citation to appear before District Magistrate Earl Gregory. DUI CHARGED | Robert J. Hooper, Jr. of Wilkes- Barre was stopped March 16 by Officer James J. Martin and charged with driving without a license and driving under the in- fluence. His blood alcohol test indi- cated a content of .26. He was issued a citation to appear before District Magistrate Earl Gregory. SPEED, DUI CHARGED Officer James J. Martin cited Phillip W. Finn, Plains for driving under the influence and exceeding the speed limit, March 18, when he stopped Finn for driving a Volk- wagen north on Route 309 at an excessive rate of speed. KINGSTON TOWNSHIP HIT AND RUN ACCIDENT Officer Walter Davis investigated a two-car accident at Dug Road and Bunker Hill where a hit and run driver struck a 1988 Jaguar driven by Ledonne C. Kelly of Dug Road. Kelly stated that he was driving on Bunker Hill when a vehicle came around a curve on a downhill grade and ripped off the Jaguar's driving mirror and scraped the driver and passenger doors and continued south on Bunker Hill Road toward Luzerne. The only description he could give was that the hit and run vehicle was a whiteJeep Cherokee station wagon. Kingston Township police called the Luzerne Police Depart- ment and notified them of the hit and run. HARVEYS LAKE PURSUIT LEADS TO DRUG ARREST Harveys Lake police have charged a borough resident with narcotics violations following a pursuit last week. Police say that Thomas Adams IV, of Box 109B Harveys Lake, was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of a small amount of marijuana, and various summary offenses after he was apprehended by assistant chief Ronald Spock. According to police, Adams was clocked traveling 72 miles per hour on Route 415. When officer Spock attempted a traffic stop, Adams failed to stop and a pursuit en- sued. Police say that Adams pulled into the parking lot of Grotto Pizza and he then fled the vehicle but was apprehended by Spock.
