Mrs. Si- chler has been a member of the board since she was elected to her first term in November, 1987, having received both the Republi- and Democratic nominations ithe 1987 primary. | \," Mrs. Sichler is a Marketing Representative for United Credit Bureau Services of Wilkes-Barre. She and her husband Edwin have resided in the Harveys Lake area ~ for the past 18 years with their three children, Karen, Judy and Edmund, all students in the Lake- Lehman School District. Hours will be from 9 a.m. to 12 noon and 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Thursday. A Birth Certificate or other ac- ceptable evidence of age must accompany each registration. A child must be five (5) years of age on or before September 30, 1991 to make him/her eligible for Kin- dergarten. Those with last names begin- ning with A, B, C, D, E and F will register on Monday,. Poet Czury conducts workshops with Lake-Lehman students and “Hacking and Smoking” pub- Award-winning poet Craig Czury recently visited Lake-Lehman High School and conducted creative writing workshops as part of an Artist-in-Residence program spon- sored by local businesses. Czury worked with English students in the classes of Maureen Purcell, Cathy Wolfe and Ellen Campbell, and Lake-Lehman stu- dents will publish a collection of original student poetry as a result of the week-long program. Czury, a poet with the Pennsyl- vania Arts Council and a Gerald- ine R. Dodge Foundation Poet, is the author of five collections of poetry, the most recent “Except...” lished by Foothills Publishing. Czury is also the recipient of numerous fellowships and awards for his “Tattoo Haiku,” a poetry mural with inmates at Luzerne {| County Prison. He has received a National Endowment for the Arts 1990 New = Forms Regional Program Grant for his poem/sculpture “Civilization Meltdown” currently being recre- ated and filmed locally.
